Internal and external training, plus regular company safety meetings take place to ensure issues, legislation and company policy changes are immediately implemented.
Wades Group is recognised by the highest trade associations and environmental standards including CSCS, APS, BIOH, Green Achievers, and registered with ConstructionLine and Acclaim.
The company operates within stringent regulations and promotes an environmentally responsible policy by encouraging customers, suppliers and employees to help us achieve that aim.
Registered as an Environmental Agency Waste Carrier and Broker for controlled waste, we are committed to the safe disposal of all waste in line with environmental standards, including the recycling of waste products and reviewing new opportunities that enable us to recycle all resources and dispose of hazardous materials appropriately. Particular attention is paid to:
- Boundary noise
- Contamination of land and water
- Waste management
- Energy conservation
Asbestos waste cannot be recycled and is required, by law, to be disposed of at a registered landfill site. To compensate, Wades Group work with communities offering a “plant a tree” scheme within local locations such as parks, schools, nursing homes and public environments, where larger demolition projects are planned and involve asbestos or hazardous waste.
Local community and charity
Supporting the local community, we work closely to aid charitable causes and with government departments to provide employment opportunities. Such schemes as Think Local and Modern Apprenticeships are seen as part of continued growth and investment in the future for Wades Group.
A recent sponsorship to a Trek Nepal Charity trip, undertaken by two employees, raised approx. £4000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and St Giles Hospice in Staffordshire.
Annual donations to Macmillan and causes within the UK are gifted along with collaborative working within the local business community, which have close links to construction projects.
